Entomologist
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Entomology
Experience: Relevant experience in Crop Protection, Quarantine Operations, or Pest Management is Necessary.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of insect taxonomy, biology, behavior, and ecology is essential. Familiarity with international quarantine standards and pest control methods (e.g., fumigation) is key.
Worked with CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International) on project of BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) as Field Facilitator CABI Bio Science.
Job Descriptions:
Survey for selection of potential farmers for Medium Farmer (MF) and Learning Groups (LG).
Conduct meeting with farmers for project orientation and farmer’s group formation.
Build capacity of local communities, partners and staff on the logical framework.
Register the MF & LG and successful capacity building of the workers.
Training of farmers for implementation of BCI production principles and criteria.
Prepare guidelines for the selection of MF/LGs participants/trainees.
Prepare and compile relevant documentation/ education materials for Farmers.
Collect and compile all the information related to MF & LGs established in the project area.
Frequent field visit conduct session and recommendations for Cotton crop.
Ensure the submission of MF/LGs monthly work plan, monthly, quarterly, and final progress reports to
the concerned.
NEFR Technology training and implementation at MFs for Beneficial Insects.
Compost fertilizer training and established at form for soil fertility.
Tree Plantation for Natural Habitat and Biodiversity.
Agriculture Pesticides Work Experience in Bayer Crop Science and Syngenta as a Field Officer.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for reporting and advising stakeholders.

Attention to detail during inspections and data collection.
